The American Education System has greatly changed since the founding of our nation. The federal government has overstepped its authority in regards to education. It has removed Christianity from schools with disastrous results. Academic knowledge and morality plunged. The government plagues our education system like cancer. Homeschooling should be our education system. It has shown great results throughout history.
When it comes to education I believe that the federal government should not be involved. Nowhere in the Constitution do we find that it allows the federal government to involve itself in education. Ever since the federal government inserted itself into education the schools rapidly became immoral. The federal government removed the Bible and the Ten Commandments from public schools and banned prayer. This was the intent of John Dewey and his comrades who laid the foundation for the modern public education system. They wanted to remove all parental and religious authority. They wanted to indoctrinate the children in their socialistic beliefs. Vladimir Lenin said, “Give me your four year olds and in a generation I will build a socialist state.” This is their ultimate goal. Someone once pointed out, “that children are the immune system of the nation.” John Dewey knew this. The nation’s ability to discern between right and wrong was weakened through government indoctrination of children. Education should be left to the local governments who can better assess the needs and desires of the community. But ultimately the parents should teach and train their children.
Parents should teach and train their children as mentioned in the Bible.
In Proverbs 22:6 we read, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” God left the education of children to their parents not to the government. The parents care about their children infinitely more then the government. Homeschooling is the best choice for every child because every child is different. Public education in addition to being evil and morally void also equalizes every child into grades. This stops the children who are smarter from advancing and the children who are average or below from getting additional help. Homeschooling is versatile to all the needs of the children. This allows all the children to advance and overcome their difficulties. Another advantage of homeschooling is the knowledge passed down from their parents, knowledge that would have been lost if not for homeschooling. The result of homeschooling is mind blowing.
The benefits and bonuses of homeschooling has been shown throughout out history. A good example is in the early American period, mainly the Founding Fathers. In early America there were hardly any schools but that did not stop the parents from teaching their children reading, writing, spelling, and mathematics. When the children could read they would read books about history and science. With such a humble homeschool eduction previous generations were better educated than most of our college graduates. They were taught to think. The results were Washington, Franklin, Jefferson, Madison, and so many more notable people. Today homeschoolers rank in the 87 percentile for national standardized test. This means that 87% of students scored lower than homeschoolers. Out of all the homeschoolers 25% are a grade ahead. When it comes to costs, homeschooling families spend an average of $500 per child per school year compared to about $10,000 per child per school year for public schools. Why is this? The reason we have high costs in our public school is because the government is involved. This is another reason why government should not be involved in education.
When it comes to education I believe that we should not have the federal government tell us what we can teach and what we can not teach. The federal government should not be involved in education. It’s better if schools are operated locally by the cities and parents. But ultimately the parents should teach their children, they should homeschool them. After all, most if not all of the Founding Fathers were homeschooled and they became very wise men. If it was good enough for the Founding Fathers it should be good for us.
